The closer the premises are located to the city centre, the better it is. Also, premises in heavily populated dormitory areas are suitable, too.

A restroom on an arena allows to make extra profit thanks to hosting events – you can make money not only on game sessions. Recommended rest room floor space is 30 m2 or more.

Recommended floor space of a reception zone is 15m2.

To play in comfort, a person needs no less than 25 m2 of floor space.

Recommended floor space of an arena is 150-400 m2. Perfect floor space is 220-250 m2. Playing zone floor space should be calculated taking into account a buffer zone (no less than 0,3 m from the walls) and obstacles within the playing zone.
Recommendations on fitting premises up

You aren’t recommended to use big light surfaces because the interior materials mustn’t reflect light.

Don’t put mirrors, reflecting surfaces, rays of light and laser, disco lights in the playing area and nearest non-isolated premises.

Illumination in the playing area must be diffused. Everything in the area must be illuminated evenly and in the same way. Thus, there won’t be shadows, flecks and reflections that can cause helmet calibration failure.

If there’re any widows in the room, hide them to prevent sunlight from getting into the room – it seriously influences the accuracy of positioning of the helmets in virtual space compared to real space.
You also have to do it to make the playing space illuminated evenly no matter what time it is.
Recommendations on markup

Branded banners on the walls and columns also work as contrastive elements. If there’s nothing on the walls and columns, put contrastive elements on them.

You can put markup on the floor in any way. Markup elements can be geometric figures, straight lines or zigzags. The main thing to remember is that the space between different elements of the markup mustn’t exceed 80 cm.

You need to put contrastive elements on the flooring to ensure stable operation of a helmet during a game. Use paint or self-adhesive tape, depending on the flooring. Recommended markup colour is white.
